NAB Show 2027 freight timeline

Worked backward from the Apr 4, 2027 opening. These are typical and estimated dates for planning; your exhibitor manual has the actual warehouse window, target times and move-out deadlines.

Step When Notes
Book your carrier Feb 7–21, 2027 Typical 6–8 weeks before the show opens. Earlier still for oversize freight or anything moving over the holidays.
Advance warehouse opens Mar 2, 2027 Estimated Advance warehouses typically start receiving about 30 days before move-in.
Freight arrives at the advance warehouse Mar 18–25, 2027 Typical 1–2 weeks before move-in: inside the receiving window and clear of the late-arrival deadline.
Move-in Apr 1–3, 2027 Estimated Freight goes from the warehouse to your booth. Direct-to-show trucks check in at the marshalling yard for their target window.
Show open Apr 4–7, 2027 Show dates NAB Show on the show floor.
Show close and outbound freight Apr 7–9, 2027 Estimated Outbound carrier and paperwork set before close, so nothing becomes forced freight.

The timeline will be worked out again from the next show dates once they're announced. As a rule of thumb: book your carrier 6–8 weeks out, expect the advance warehouse to open about 30 days before move-in, and aim to have freight there 1–2 weeks before move-in.

What NAB Show freight looks like

NAB Show freight is broadcast and production gear: cameras and lenses, switchers, servers, LED walls, camera cranes, lighting and the truss that holds it up. Much of it travels in road cases that protect the gear but often arrive loose, and loose cases can be billed at special-handling rates, so banding them onto pallets keeps them as one standard piece. Camera and lighting packs usually include lithium batteries, which have their own packing and labeling rules in transport.

What's different about NAB Show logistics

NAB booths are heavy on rigging: hanging signs, LED walls and lighting truss go up first, before the rest of the booth freight is delivered to the floor. That makes the rigging freight the most time-critical piece of an NAB shipment, and it should be at the advance warehouse early and clearly marked. Broadcast and outside-broadcast vehicles on display follow their own move-in instructions, separate from crated freight.

How B&P helps

B&P Logistics is based in Las Vegas. We handle the trucking to and from NAB Show: booking the carrier early, scheduling the linehaul backward from your advance warehouse or show-site target dates, and coordinating with the show's general service contractor (GSC) on paperwork, check-in and outbound freight. Between shows, we can store your booth at our Las Vegas warehouse so it's ready for the next one.

We don't perform drayage. The GSC does, and nobody can change its rate. What we control is how your freight arrives: on target, crated, consolidated into fewer shipments and on a truck that unloads cleanly. That's what keeps drayage at the base rate. Read how trade show drayage is billed →
