MAGIC 2027 freight timeline

Worked backward from the Feb 16, 2027 opening. These are typical and estimated dates for planning; your exhibitor manual has the actual warehouse window, target times and move-out deadlines.

Step When Notes
Book your carrier Dec 5–19, 2026 Typical 6–8 weeks before the show opens. Earlier still for oversize freight or anything moving over the holidays. Moved earlier to finish before the Dec 20–Jan 1 holiday period.
Advance warehouse opens Jan 14, 2027 Estimated Advance warehouses typically start receiving about 30 days before move-in.
Freight arrives at the advance warehouse Jan 30–Feb 6, 2027 Typical 1–2 weeks before move-in: inside the receiving window and clear of the late-arrival deadline.
Move-in Feb 13–15, 2027 Estimated Freight goes from the warehouse to your booth. Direct-to-show trucks check in at the marshalling yard for their target window.
Show open Feb 16–18, 2027 Show dates MAGIC on the show floor.
Show close and outbound freight Feb 18–20, 2027 Estimated Outbound carrier and paperwork set before close, so nothing becomes forced freight.

The timeline will be worked out again from the next show dates once they're announced. As a rule of thumb: book your carrier 6–8 weeks out, expect the advance warehouse to open about 30 days before move-in, and aim to have freight there 1–2 weeks before move-in.

What MAGIC freight looks like

MAGIC freight is apparel and footwear samples, garment-on-hanger racks, rolling racks, mannequins and lightweight fixtures. It is bulky for its weight, so a trailer fills up long before it gets heavy, and many brands ship a few cartons each, which means lots of small LTL and parcel shipments. Because the show's contractor charges a minimum per shipment, consolidating those cartons onto fewer pieces saves more here than at most shows.

What's different about MAGIC logistics

MAGIC runs every February and August, and the August edition shares the convention center with Agenda. Brands that exhibit at both editions ship the same booth to Las Vegas twice a year, six months apart, so keeping it in Las Vegas between editions saves the round trip in between. The sourcing and manufacturing side of MAGIC also draws many overseas exhibitors whose samples come in on temporary import, often under an ATA Carnet, and that paperwork has to be in order before the freight can move to the hall.

How B&P helps

B&P Logistics is based in Las Vegas. We handle the trucking to and from MAGIC: booking the carrier early, scheduling the linehaul backward from your advance warehouse or show-site target dates, and coordinating with the show's general service contractor (GSC) on paperwork, check-in and outbound freight. Between shows, we can store your booth at our Las Vegas warehouse so it's ready for the next one.

We don't perform drayage. The GSC does, and nobody can change its rate. What we control is how your freight arrives: on target, crated, consolidated into fewer shipments and on a truck that unloads cleanly. That's what keeps drayage at the base rate. Read how trade show drayage is billed →
