SHOT Show 2027 freight timeline

Worked backward from the Jan 19, 2027 opening. These are typical and estimated dates for planning; your exhibitor manual has the actual warehouse window, target times and move-out deadlines.

Step When Notes
Book your carrier Nov 24–Dec 8, 2026 Typical 6–8 weeks before the show opens. Earlier still for oversize freight or anything moving over the holidays.
Advance warehouse opens Dec 17, 2026 Estimated Advance warehouses typically start receiving about 30 days before move-in.
Freight arrives at the advance warehouse Jan 2–9, 2027 Typical 1–2 weeks before move-in: inside the receiving window and clear of the late-arrival deadline.
Move-in Jan 16–18, 2027 Estimated Freight goes from the warehouse to your booth. Direct-to-show trucks check in at the marshalling yard for their target window.
Show open Jan 19–22, 2027 Show dates SHOT Show on the show floor.
Show close and outbound freight Jan 22–24, 2027 Estimated Outbound carrier and paperwork set before close, so nothing becomes forced freight.

The timeline will be worked out again from the next show dates once they're announced. As a rule of thumb: book your carrier 6–8 weeks out, expect the advance warehouse to open about 30 days before move-in, and aim to have freight there 1–2 weeks before move-in.

What SHOT Show freight looks like

SHOT Show freight is firearms, ammunition, optics, knives and outdoor gear, along with the display cases and fixtures to show them. Interstate firearm shipments follow federal rules on who may ship and receive them, ammunition is regulated as hazardous material in transport and has to be classified, packaged and marked correctly, and not every carrier will accept either. High-value, theft-attractive freight calls for sealed trailers, a documented chain of custody and a carrier cleared to haul it.

What's different about SHOT Show logistics

SHOT Show spans two venues, Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum, and each has its own docks and delivery address, so label every piece for the correct building. Some exhibit space is on upper levels served by freight elevators, which slows move-in and makes your target window matter more than usual. The show's own rules on firearm display, security and handling are strict and specific, so read that section of the exhibitor manual before anything is packed.

How B&P helps

B&P Logistics is based in Las Vegas. We handle the trucking to and from SHOT Show: booking the carrier early, scheduling the linehaul backward from your advance warehouse or show-site target dates, and coordinating with the show's general service contractor (GSC) on paperwork, check-in and outbound freight. Between shows, we can store your booth at our Las Vegas warehouse so it's ready for the next one.

We don't perform drayage. The GSC does, and nobody can change its rate. What we control is how your freight arrives: on target, crated, consolidated into fewer shipments and on a truck that unloads cleanly. That's what keeps drayage at the base rate. Read how trade show drayage is billed →
